I had a random issue on 2 SKUs 109350 and 200122fba. There may be more but I am not sure yet. It's a glitch on Amazon's side but it's caused me some trouble a few times. I asked other sellers on Reddit and they said it likely a 3rd party application (i.e. eStack) is reporting quantities to an FBA listing.

Amazon was able to confirm it after some back and forth with them.

Apparently, if we report inventory to an FBA listing, Amazon may publish an FBM listing/qty, even if none exists in my inventory. Not always, as we have not been seeing this on all listings.

Seems we need to figure out how this may be happening and if we can crete a solution to avoid it. It's not the end of the world, but I have not had stock to ship some order and had to cancel.

I understand that your concern is regarding the ASIN B01IEOD9X8 wherein the are getting placed under seller fulfilled.

This issue occurs when FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) quantity is added to the FBA listing. Ideally, only one offering, that is, FBA or FBM is added to the one listing.

Upon further review, I see that there was an update from your seller central which may have resulted on quantity being added to the FBA listing which caused bad exchanges.

How to fix the issue?

You can fix the issue by converting the listing to FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) from FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) and then converting it back to FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon).

This will fix the issue regarding the listing having both FBM and FBA offer in the backend.

After converting the listing to FBA again then you can see the offer listing page does not have a FBM listing anymore as the listing was successfully updated in the backend. I am providing the direct-link to the offer listing page below:

You can convert the listing by choosing the listing and selecting the "Actions for selected" drop-down menu and select "Change to 'Fulfilled by Amazon'' or "Change to 'Fulfilled by Merchant''.

Therefore, I request to convert the listing for the ASIN: B01IEOD9X8 to FBM and then back to FBA. I have done the same and your MFN listing is not showing any more on the detail page.

Regarding the order:

If you have any inventory for the ASIN: B01IEOD9X8 , then I request you to fulfill the order. However, if you do not have inventory then please cancel the order.

Why the issue occurs?

This issue occurs when FBM quantity is added to the FBA listing. The quantity can be added via inventory loader or through third-party application. Ideally, only one offering, that is, FBA or FBM is added to the one listing.

If the field for the fulfillment channel in the inventory loader has been left blank or left as default then quantity is added to the FBM listing.

Another reason can be if the listing is updated by uploading a flat file feed with quantity mentioned in the quantity field. Providing a quantity for an AFN listing via a feed upload can cause bad exchanges.
